Aside from our own Ceilume Smart Ceiling Tile, there is only one other nationally known DROP AWAY ceiling tile available for use underneath fire suppression sprinklers.
Thermo-Tile is made from molded Polystyrene, and comes in several sizes, and a few styles. It also comes in two thicknesses, one offering a higher insulation value than the other. All grid mounted Thermo-Tiles are tested and certified for use underneath fire suppression sprinklers, and are also Class A fire rated for flame spread and smoke developed.
What you lose in style with these, you make up for in R-value. With an R-value of 4.55 in the 1″ thick variety, Thermo-Tile has the best insulation value of the drop away tile market, by far.
They ship nationwide, and are also available throughout the nation in retail building material stores and lumber yards.
